Compensation and Employment Terms

This is a part-time W-2 employee position with approximately 24 hours of availability per week. Employment is at-will, meaning either party may end the relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice.

 

Completed client session (50 min): $45-48

Administrative time (meetings, care coordination): $25/hr

Typical weekly earnings: ~20 sessions x $48 = $900 ~3 admin hours x $25 = $75 Estimated weekly total: ~$975

 

Actual earnings vary based on completed sessions. Late cancellations and no-shows count toward utilization.

Job Expectation : Schedule and Daily Expectations Schedules remain consistent week to week. In accordance with labor law, shifts may not exceed 8 hours per day, and shifts longer than 5 hours include a required unpaid 1-hour meal break. Typical day: 6 client sessions in a 7 to 8 hour window (evening hours preferred, weekends also an option if interested) Up to 7 sessions in an 8-hour day Sessions are 50 minutes of direct care AI-assisted note-taking is built into your workflow, freeing your admin time for care coordination and communication We have countless note templates and handouts as well to organize the flow of your sessions What a Typical Week Looks Like Up to 23 client sessions scheduled (50 minutes each) Target: approximately 19 to 20 completed sessions per week (85% utilization) Up to 3 compensated administrative hours per week 1 required team meeting: Mondays at 1pm PST / 4pm EST Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 virtual nutrition counseling to clients with diabetes, prediabetes, PCOS, and metabolic conditions Support behavior change through motivational interviewing techniques Conduct telehealth visits (phone/video/chat) for a diverse clientele (70% of our clients identify as BIPOC) Complete assessments, follow-up notes, and documentation on time Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline patient care Attend weekly supervision meetings and team huddles Billing and scheduling tasks, ensuring accuracy in client records Required Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in outpatient counseling (diabetes MNT preferred) Familiarity or willingness to learn Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating approaches Strong commitment to social justice and supporting marginalized clients Adaptable, organized, and ready to learn new systems and methods Active RD Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) CDCES credential (a plus!)
