Position Description: Intern is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all social media activity for the company with the end goal of assisting in growing the online presence of the nutrition practice.

Learning Goals:
  1. Understand the impact of social media on company growth
  2. Learn how to network in an online world
  3. Gain knowledge in social media tracking and Google Analytics

Responsibilities      
  • Maintain Facebook business page by posting approved daily posts, relevant links and interacting with those who “like” the page
  • Grow Twitter account by interacting with twitter followers and gaining new followers
  • Monitor Pinterest boards, followers and create new pins
  • Create images and stories and post on Instagram
  • Gain more followers on YouTube channel
  • Seek out appropriate online affiliate and joint venture partners
  • Assist in creating a strategic social media campaign for new online programs
  • Blog post writing
  • Assist in running online promotions and events
  • Report on social media tracking and analytics

Skills and Qualifications
  • Dietetics major in a 4-year accredited program
  • Ability to do internet nutrition-related research
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Nutritionist Pro
  • Social media savvy (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube
Position is located in West Hempstead, NY.
