As a student, I learned firsthand how crucial volunteer experience was for getting matched to a dietetic internship and how hard it was to come across unique experiences within the nutrition field. This, combined with my computer science background, inspired me to start preRD.org, a website that connects Registered Dietitians with nutrition students for volunteer opportunities, job openings, and mentorships. I am also currently working as a Clinical Dietitian and pursuing my Masters Degree in Nutrition.
